A man approached a mystic looking for advice on how he might improve his life. He saw the mystic had a small bag and, curious, asked what was inside.
“Have a look” said the mystic and the man rummaged around in the bag. Much to his surprise he found an enormous diamond.
“This is worth a fortune”, he said to the mystic but the mystic just shrugged his shoulders. “It is a stone” he replied.
“Well if that’s how you see it will you give it to me?” asked the man. “Sure” answered the mystic and without a further word the man was gone, clutching the diamond in his hand.
The next day the man returned to the mystic and returned the diamond to him. “Don’t you want it” asked the mystic.
“No”, said the man. “What I would really like is for you teach me to be the person that does not mind giving away a diamond!”
